CADET IQ NCC — PRIVACY POLICY

1. INTRODUCTION

Cadet IQ NCC ("we", "us") operates the website cadetiqncc.in and the web app at app.cadetiqncc.in. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. We handle personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and other applicable law.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us:

- First name and email address

- Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form)

- The certificate you choose (A, B or C) and your course purchases

- Payment reference IDs and limited billing information (we do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank credentials)

- Messages you send to our AI assistant or support team

- Optional profile details you choose to add

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.

Information collected automatically:

- IP address, browser type and version, device type and operating system

- Pages visited, time spent and referring URL

- Cookies and similar identifiers (see section 6)

We do not collect your phone number, your location, your photograph, or your date of birth.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

- To create and manage your account

- To provide course access, mock tests, audio, 3D models, video guides and the AI study assistant

- To process payments and send receipts

- To provide support and respond to queries

- To send service messages, and — only if you opt in — study updates and offers

- To keep one active device per account, detect account sharing, and protect our content (see section 9)

- To monitor and improve the Platform, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms

- To comply with legal obligations

4. LEGAL BASIS

We process your data on the basis of your consent, the performance of our contract with you (delivering the course you purchased), and our legitimate interests in running and securing the Platform.

5. WHAT WE NEVER DO

- We do not sell your personal data.

- We do not show advertising.

- We do not use third-party advertising trackers or build advertising profiles of you.

6. COOKIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences and understand how the Platform is used. We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may then not work.

7. PAYMENT INFORMATION

Payments are handled by third-party payment gateways. Your payment details are submitted directly to the gateway. We receive only a transaction reference, amount, status and limited billing information. Please review the gateway's own privacy policy for how it handles your data.

8. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

- Service providers who help us run the Platform (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, aggregate analytics) — under confidentiality obligations;

- Authorities, where required by law or valid legal process;

- A successor entity, in the event of a merger or transfer of the business.

Brand Coordinators never see any cadet's name, email, phone number or progress. They see only anonymous purchase numbers.

9. SECURITY AND CONTENT PROTECTION

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access — to protect your data.

To protect our course content, study screens display a faint moving watermark containing your first name and the last four characters of your account ID. Audio, video and 3D files are served through short-lived links tied to your logged-in account. If you sign in on a new device, the previous device is signed out and you receive an email alert.

No online system is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. DATA RETENTION

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting purposes. After that it is deleted or anonymised.

11. CHILDREN'S DATA

The Platform is intended for NCC cadets, who may be under 18. If you are under 18, you must use the Platform with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and we may require verifiable parental consent before activating a paid account. We collect the minimum data needed. If we learn that we have collected data from a child without the required consent, we will delete it.

12. YOUR RIGHTS

You may:

- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;

- correct or update inaccurate data;

- request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements);

- withdraw consent for marketing messages at any time;

- ask us to stop processing your data, where the law allows.

You can delete your account and data yourself from the app: Menu > Account > Delete my account and data. You can also email us at [email protected].
